Turn On

Press and Hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears on the center of the screen. It will take a few seconds for the iPad to fully turn on.

"Slide" the bar to the right to unlock the screen. If you miss the slide to unlock screen, tap the Home button and "Slide to Unlock" bar will appear again.

Turn Off

Press and Hold the Sleep/Wake button until the screen goes dim and a slider bar appears on the screen.

"Slide" the bar to the right to power off. It can take a few seconds for the iPad to shut down completely.
